Manchester United 4 - 1 Newcastle United

St. James Park was the host of today's game which saw The Red Devils book a spot against Arsenal FC in the final of the FA Cup. As title holders, United seem to have the edge this season at the Millenium stadium as they have already beaten Arsenal 3 times this season so far and won't be far from making them 4. They won 1-0 at Old Trafford in the League Cup, 2-0 also at Old Trafford in the Premiership and then 4-2 at Highbury.

A great display from Man United showed today as they missed many rued chances in front of goal and scored on 4 of many opportunities. Van the Man scored the opener after 19 minutes after forcing a save from Shay 7 minutes into the game. Paul Scholes headed home a Cristiano Ronaldo cross who was astoundingly amazing and in top form today as United took a 2-0 lead at half time.

Van the Man increased his season tally by curling a shot from inside the penalty box. The dutchman was showing everyone who had doubts he'd get back on track that he's capable of giving his best. Amoebi gave the home fans something to cheer about on the hour mark when he recieved a pass from Shearer and had no problem netting the Man Utd goal to make it 3-1 after just 1 minute of Scholesy's goal. Then an amazing run from the right on 76 minutes, C. Ronaldo scored United's 4th of the night to end a great game that gives United the chance of retaining their title after losing their hopes in the League and Champions League.

Man Utd and Arsenal have taken part in 10 of the 12 previous FA Cup finals and this season it should be a very interesting final. United haven't lost to Arsenal in 3 years now and they will be very willing to continue their Rivalry run at the Millenium Stadium in May. Man Utd have won 11 FA Cup titles, Arsenal 9 and Blackburn and Newcastle (semifinalists) have each won 6. Blackburn however haven't reached the semis since 1960.

If Arsenal snatch the title this season, it would be their 10th title after 8 finals in 11 years. If Man Utd are able to retain their title, they would pull further ahead and add a 12th FA Cup trophy to the Club silverware. Both teams will be willing to win this tournament because the defeated team will end the season with no titles whatsoever.

ONE RUUD! ONE UNITED! WE WILL ROCK THE MILLENIUM!
